In which I chat with The Deep End Games’ Bill and Amanda Gardner about their experiences in the games biz and their first TDEG release “Perception.” A fascinating take on both the survival-horror genre and the first-person iteration of that genre, the game grabbed me as being from the point of view of a blind woman who relies on her sense of echo-location to navigate the game’s dark, dangerous world. And even with my experience as a legally blind individual whose used similar orientation techniques in my own navigation, I was still killed off almost immediately!
